Mindfulness & Menopause – Hot Flashes & The Vagus Nerve (Session 3 of 12 part series)

The Mindfulness & Menopause series will guide participants through hands-on mind-body techniques to cope with the symptoms of menopause. Expect to learn how mindfulness is a tool to connect individuals to the present moment, to put things into perspective, to practice gratitude and self-compassion. We will discuss how the skills we develop through mindful practice are applied to managing our health as we travel through menopause. These sessions will include symptom breakdowns, guided practice, and a Q&A with your mindfulness mentor.
Session 3: Hot Flashes & The Vagus Nerve
Did you know a hot flash can trigger the body’s fight or flight response? Luckily, we can hack this fight or flight system through the Vagus nerve. Learn how relaxing breathwork can alleviate the symptoms of a hot flash.
