Mindfulness & Menopause – Hot Flashes (Session 2 of 12 part series)

The Mindfulness & Menopause series will guide participants through hands-on mind-body techniques to cope with the symptoms of menopause. Expect to learn how mindfulness is a tool to connect individuals to the present moment, to put things into perspective, to practice gratitude and self-compassion. We will discuss how the skills we develop through mindful practice are applied to managing our health as we travel through menopause. These sessions will include symptom breakdowns, guided practice, and a Q&A with your mindfulness mentor.
Session 2: Hot Flashes & Cooling breathwork
Among the many techniques we use to cool ourselves while experiencing a hot flash – using a paper fan, taking a cold shower, sticking your head in the freezer – there is a lesser-known practice that’s worth a try. Learn about the ancient practice of Sitali Breathwork to cool the body, add moisture to your system, and cool fiery energy.
